Previously, I have written about the process of selling a property and what a conveyancer does when acting for a Vendor – today I want to talk you through the buying process and some of the terms you will come across.

When buying a property your Conveyancer will explain the contract to you, organize Pest and Building Reports if you want them, make sure you have the necessary loan approval and negotiate with the Vendor’s Conveyancer on any special needs such as extended settlement date, amount of deposit or possession of the property. Liaison with your lender or broker is also a pertinent function.
